I've sent out Parent Surveys to both the Live Oak and Callison campus parents and have been receiving your responses, thank you! Keep them coming! Workshops and classes are already scheduled and will continue to be added to the calender (on the right and in full detail on the Parent University page) New this year is the introduction of the Computer Skills classes and the computer lab available on all of our Title 1 campuses. I'm personally very excited to offer this to our families at Live Oak and Callison. The class size is limited to five so pre-registration is required and it will fill up fast. Contact me if you have any questions.
For an actor who became famous playing the "dumb guy" on That 70's Show, this speech was such an inspirational message steering away from entitlement and the 'whatever' attitude. Nothing worth having comes easy. Dedication and effort are some of the best tools we can use and model for our children to show them that ANYTHING is possible. Like he said, opportunities look like hard work, the sexiest people are smart, thoughtful and generous, and build your life - don't simply live it.
Sometimes it's easy to make assumptions or judge by what we see on the outside. As educators, as humanitarians, we cannot forget that everyone has their own story to tell. If we only take the time to listen, our lives can be impacted by others, and we ourselves may impact the life of another. #LoveThem #GuideThem #Don'tJudgeThem
Notice how gracefully he embodies Dr. Steve Flores' 4th Challenge for a BREAKTHROUGH:
Make the most out of every situation. Breakthrough constraints by turning negatives into positives.
Jeremy, you're gonna be alright my friend.
